Best Denali Campsite

Teklanika Campground on the Teklanika River is the best campground that you can drive to in Denali National Park. And, campsite 13 at Teklanika is the best. Eight trips in a row (last 2 in 2018, 3 in 2019, and 3 so far in 2020), Tek 13 has been my home.

"Tek 13" is the best campsite at Teklanika. Secluded with a private path to the 1/4 mile wide Teklanika riverbed.

Denali is North America’s tallest mountain. This photo was made from Savage River campground in Denali National Park at a distance of over 80 miles. The south peak, on the left, rises to 20,310 feet. The north peak, on the right, is a little more than 1,900 feet shorter. The two peaks are two miles apart.
